Increases memory capacity
Research has also shown that playing a musical instrument stimulates your brain and increases memory. A study involving 22 children aged 3 to 4 and a half years old were either given singing or piano lessons versus a control group of 15 children who received no music lessons. Both groups then participated in the same preschool activities. The results found that the preschoolers who had weekly piano or singing lessons had a 34% increase in their spatial temporal skills compared to the children who did not receive any music lessons.Read More
